As urban logistics become more complex, Honda chooses to respond to challenges in an innovative way. American Honda Motor officially announced the new logistics solution "Fastport", featuring the electric micro delivery vehicle eQuad, and announced that it will be publicly exhibited for the first time at Eurobike 2025 held in Germany. This product, developed by Honda New Business Innovation Lab, is not just a vehicle, but also a complete Fleet as a Service (FaaS) platform, designed to solve the "last mile" problem of urban delivery.
Fastport eQuad is a one-seat electric assisted delivery vehicle. Its design focuses on combining human and electric power. It uses a "pedal-by-wire" electronic pedal system and electric assisted transmission to provide a smooth and powerful riding experience. Its legal bicycle path setting allows it to deliver flexibly and efficiently in areas where vehicles are difficult to penetrate, and has great potential for urban transportation. The vehicle uses Honda Mobile Power Pack e: replaceable batteries to greatly improve operational efficiency and sustainability, achieving zero-emission operation.
In addition to the product itself, Fastport also provides fleet management services in conjunction with the FaaS platform, including real-time monitoring of vehicle and battery status, route management, remote OTA updates, and maintenance and parts replacement, bringing lower operating costs and higher efficiency to delivery companies. This type of logistics model that combines micro electric vehicles with platforms will become an important part of the future of urban transportation.

In terms of cabin design, the Fastport eQuad is equipped with a UV-protected roof, a front windshield and a ventilation fan to enhance the comfort of delivery personnel. The vehicle is also equipped with regenerative braking and automatic brake maintenance functions to ensure safe use. The product also provides different sizes of models and cargo boxes, and the full length can be adjusted according to the purpose, flexibly responding to various needs such as fresh food, small packages and even large goods.
Fastport is scheduled to be mass-produced at the Honda Performance Manufacturing Center in Ohio, USA in the summer of 2026, and has already carried out empirical tests in North America and Europe. It hopes to establish an operating model that is closer to market demand through cooperation with logistics companies.

For different users, the emergence of Fastport eQuad is epoch-making. For logistics platforms and large-scale delivery companies, it is a tool to improve efficiency and reduce carbon emissions; for start-ups, it provides a low-cost entry ticket to the delivery market; for urban planners, it is a new element to solve traffic and pollution problems.
Fastport is not just an electric delivery vehicle, but a smart solution to urban pain points. High-density cities such as Hong Kong have always lacked short-distance delivery solutions that can flexibly shuttle between buildings. If Fastport can be legalized and integrated into the existing logistics system, it may reshape our daily delivery and freight. Honda is not telling a story with just one car this time, but using the entire platform to redefine urban delivery.
