Accustomed to the hustle and bustle of the city and living a monotonous life, we should occasionally feel the breath of nature, challenge our own limits, and go on a dangerous, exciting, and physically and mentally exhausting mountain climbing trip. We must challenge Mount Huashan.
Huashan is known for its dangers. There is a cableway to help you climb to the North Peak. Our challenge was to hike up the mountain. Most of the hiking roads are carved out of cliffs. The road sections are high, narrow and steep. In many places, the hiking roads are nearly 60 ~ 70 degrees steep, and the protection measures are relatively primitive. Therefore, the climbing will be slower, and you need to be very focused throughout the process. In some places, you need to use all four limbs to climb.
If you like to watch the sunrise, you can climb Huashan at night. Of course, there are also many tourists who climb the mountain at night. Because the light at night is not good and you can't see below, it will reduce your fear of heights during the climbing process. When you climb up the mountain and are physically and mentally exhausted, you can quietly enjoy the sunrise on the top of the mountain.
There are many unique attractions that everyone loves on the way to the mountain. Here I would like to introduce you to the top 10 favorite attractions:
1)、Qianchi Chuang is a large crack on the cliff, trapped between the boulders on both sides. There are more than 370 steps with a very steep slope. The width of each step is only one-third of the sole of the foot. Looking down, it feels like facing an abyss. The top of the stone steps is like a wellhead. If the "wellhead" is covered with an iron cover, the road to Huashan will be blocked, so it is called "Taihua Throat".

2).'Nantianmen' is on the east side of the South Peak. It can be reached by climbing along the rugged path from the south slope of the East Peak through Erxiankan and Ziqitai. It is the only way to reach Chaoyuan Cave, Changkong Plank Road, Helao Stone Chamber and Quanzhen Cliff.

3). 'Canglong Ridge' is one of the famous dangerous roads in Huashan. It is located in the south of Jiukutai and under Wuyun Peak. It is named for its dark exterior and its terrain that looks like a hanging dragon. The terrain is like walking on a thin blade and the cliffs are thousands of feet high, which makes many tourists tremble with fear.

4). It's an unfathomable ditch-like dangerous path sandwiched between steep stone walls, with more than 570 stone steps. Legend has it that when Taishang Laojun passed by this place and saw that there was no way to pass, he brought a green ox to plow this ditch overnight. To this day, there are still stone grooves on the west side of the cliff that look like plow grooves.

5). The Caer Cliff refers to a dangerous road from the north peak to the bottom of the ladder. The road is flanked by steep cliffs on the west and a deep ravine on the east. In ancient times, the road was very narrow and could only accommodate one foot. When pedestrians passed by, they had to stick their belly close to the cliff and hold the stone holes with both hands. However, since "the fingers of the hands were not covered and the heels of the feet were not covered", they could only stick to the cliff like mice, hence the name Ear-Cleaning Cliff.

6)."Bai Chi Gorge" is also called "Bai Zhang Cliff". It is still a place where dangerous rocks stand tall and pierce the clouds, which is a daunting place. After passing Qianchi Chuang and turning north, you will reach "Bai Chi Gorge", which is the second dangerous place when climbing Huashan.

7). The East Peak, the third highest peak of Huashan, is named because of its east orientation. It is also known as the "Chaoyang Peak" because it is the best place to watch the sunrise among the five peaks. It is 2,082 meters above sea level. The best place to watch the sunrise is the "Chaoyang Terrace". The sunrise scene is very spectacular, and it changes every moment.

8).The Changkong Plank Road is located on the east side of the South Peak of Huashan Mountain. It was built by He Zhizhen, the first master of Huashan School in the Yuan Dynasty, who wanted to get away from the world and practice Taoism. He built it by inlaying stone nails and laying wooden rafters on the cliffs. The plank road is surrounded by cliffs, with iron ropes hanging horizontally. The road is made of stone strips and fixed with stone pillars. Visitors here face the wall, hold their stomachs, and move forward with breath held. It is known as the "first dangerous place in Huashan Mountain".

9). South Peak is the top of Mount Taihua, with an altitude of 2154.9 meters. It is also called Luoyan Peak. Standing here, you can see far into the distance. South Peak consists of three small peaks. Standing here, you can look east to Songhui Peak, which is covered with pine trees, south to Sangong Mountain and Sanfeng Mountain, and west to Xiaozi Peak. Songhui Peak, Luoyan Peak and Xiaozi Peak are connected, like an old man sitting cross-legged.

10). The chess pavilion in the clouds gives off a fairy-like feeling.

If you need to climb Huashan at night, it is best to start climbing around 22:00 at night. If you climb during the day, then start climbing around 6:00 in the morning. Please note that you need to bring enough clothes when climbing at night, as the temperature on the top of the mountain will be lower. Do not take trekking poles, as you need to climb on all fours in many places.
There has been only one road to Mount Huashan since ancient times, so if you are afraid of heights or are timid, be cautious when going to Mount Huashan. Of course, if you are willing to challenge yourself, it is also one of the best choices.
Huashan is known for its rugged civilization and is also imbued with a mysterious color due to various myths and legends.
